After more than a decade working long days in construction — often 14 hours or more, six days a week — Tyler saw firsthand how challenging it can be for people to bring their building projects to life efficiently, accurately, and safely. At the same time, those long hours meant less time with the people who mattered most.

He began to imagine a way to combine his construction expertise with new technology that could change how projects are planned and managed — something that could save others time, money, and stress, while giving our family the freedom we’d always hoped for.

That vision became Horizon Homesteads — a business built on family, innovation, and purpose. And when Tyler shared that dream, his wife Emily was right there to help turn it into reality. Together, they poured their hearts into bringing Horizon Homesteads to life — combining Tyler’s hands-on construction experience and motivational drive with Emily’s leadership in both administrative and field operations. Their shared determination to build something meaningful from the ground up turned a simple idea into a family-driven mission to help others plan, build, and protect their dreams with confidence.
